This forms a pool of blood under the scar and the blood clot forms a connective tissue under the scar. This levels the scar to the skin surface. Dermal fillers are used for deeper acne scars and the fat[also called collagen] is injected under the scar through dermal fillers which last for 6 months. This brings the scars to the surface level.
